LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 App Reviews

One major glitch that I know happens for me at least - every time I reach the scene where Hagrid and the students walk into the Great Hall in Year One, the game freezes and I lose all my progress in the save. Hoping you can fix this bug, because it keeps me limited to playing only the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley areas. Almost all of the gameplay is denied of me due to this glitch.

Love the Lego games, especially Harry Potter! You might have to get used to the keyboard controls at first, no mouse here!

This game was addicting until it reached the the fourth movie. It ends up being really boring. It also slowed my computer down, and im running Lion. The game had tons of glitches and if you quit one of the levels you cant go back. Its a good game, but not the best. The screen shots make it look great, but when i played it i was not impressed.

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch. This app is not downloading on my Macbook Pro. It downloades for some time and then it says error. So then I have to download the whole app again. It is a lot of money gone to waste. If Lego could solve this problem or refund the money, I would be happy. If no action is done I am going to court. Please fix this as soon as possible. Do not buy, it does not download. It is a waste of money!

Has a couple tricky parts and maybe a little advanced for the target audience age but very cool graphics and fun to play with my kids.

first start: i tried to show my son how it worked and I could not get anything done. No magic worked, no manual is available. I had to check under options to see what buttons are supposed to work. Even these buttons did not work. Ended the game , starter the game again second start: no progeress was saved, I had to watch the whole intro again, no way to skip it! now the buttons worked. I just cannot switch to another person or back. Ended the game , starter the game again third start: no progeress was saved, I had to watch the whole intro again, no way to skip it! Now the buttons work, and I change swap characters. I still have no idea what all the F1 and F2 messages are but I could do some progress. Got stuck in the Bank, tried to save and exit. Ended the game , starter the game again fourth start: no progeress was saved, I had to watch the whole intro again, no way to skip it! My son lost all interest and I am not a happy camper. Main Problem: IT DOES NOT SAVE!!! That makes the whole game useless. About myself: I played Medal of Honor 1,2 and Modern warfare with no problems.

I would give it no stars it I could. The stupid game wont even download on my mac. Dont spend your money on this peice of trash.

The level "Tom Riddles Diary" in year two is buggy. When I played it, I couldnt get into a cabinet for the earmuffs you need to use the mandrake, even though I had constructed it properly. I figured it was a bug so I exited the level and thought I could try again. Turns out if you exit that particular level, you cant get back into it without starting the whole game over. This is a well-known bug that has been reported since 2010 and hasnt been fixed yet. I would start the game over but Im worried that Ill get to that level again and have the same problem. Id give the game five stars if TT would fix the bugs. Its fun to play up until you get stuck because something doesnt work.

None of the harry potter games are downloading...fix this now and give me my money back...

I liked the levels, and I went through and got all the extra stuff like I did with Lego Star Wars - and had fun doing it. Much more fun than Lego Indiana Jones. Looking forward to getting the next one!

I downloaded this game, and after waiting 2 hours for it to finish downloading, an error popped up. The download never finished. This has happened a total of 3 times now! 6+hours of downloading later, I still cannot play the game! I want my money back. I was so excited for this because I played it on the XBOX version, and I feel like the makers of this game kind of ripped me off. I cannot even find a way to email them to refund! Very, very unhappy...

I have no idea what the other reviews are saying… But this game is really fun. It downloaded fine on my White MacBook October 2009 Model Flawlessly. It runs smooth and is a overall great game for the price. Definetly recommend it. If you like the other lego video game series then you will like this. Especially if you like harry potter.

Before purchasing this game, I wondered how well it would run on my 2012 MacBook Air (8GB RAM). After downloading it, I was pleasantly surprised! The game play was extremely smooth! There were occasional, minor drops in frame rate during some of the cut scenes, but they were hardly noticeable. I was also extremely happy with the ability to play using my PS3 controllers via Bluetooth. After connecting my MBA to my TV via HDMI, my SO and I were able to play just like we were using the PS3. Aside from how well it runs, it is a very fun game! Humorous, challenging, and, all around, entertaining. Definitely worth the price.

This game looks cool, but the second I got into the game, a giant white box appeared on the screen. After uninstalling and reinstaling it was still there. Also, Feral doens’t have a spec of information on how to help on their website. Very Disapointed.

As far as Lego games go, I’m not impressed. The gameplay is clunky, with plenty of glitches. The story wasn’t well put together(pun intended) and the cut scenes are kinda crapy. I dont plan on finishing the game.

The game doesn’t start up; the icon just bounces up and down endlessly. I am using a 13 non-retina macbook pro on OS X Yosemite.

I’m a longtime fan of the LEGO games, and this one is no exception. The gameplay is exactly the quality and playability of the past LEGO games and I was not dissapointed on that front. However, I can’t for the life of me connect my gamepad to this game. This game needs either better controller support or an easy guide to show people how to add controllers. Other than that, I’m completely satisfied :)

Loved this game until i got into year 2….. game crashes every single time i try and use one of the madrakes to break a glass door to get into the next section of the game. so disappointed.

The game is fun to play, but the moment it begins to slow up, it freezes your entire computer forcing you to restart it.

I have been a Harry Potter fan for over 10 years and this game really brought everything to life!! I didn’t find anything wrong with it. It ran so well on my macbook Pro. Everything was fantastic!! I loved it.
